Post 5 - My Future Job

I Always think about the future, what should I do and what should I choose. I would like to have a job like a photographer or a photojournalist because I learned about a year ago that taking pictures is really my thing. I love to take pictures in social events like protest because you can show and send a message to other people and you can show your discontent about several things like feminism or violence in Chile. I imagine my job very risky and dangerous because in a situation like a protest you have too deal with too many things like the tear gas of the police or the objects that people throw, but in general if you have the precautions you can be safe and really enjoy the job and I know it very well because I been doing this for about 8 months or so and I’m very happy with the results.

(you can see one picture that i took this year in a protest) Obviously, this job would be entirely outdoors because you have to move where the situations are pretty much like a journalist but taking photos in different cities or countries also. This is very related with the factor that I love traveling and if you say me that I can combine the 2 things that I love I would be happy for the rest of my life. The salary in this kind of jobs is very unstable because usually you work freelance until a photojournalist agency hired you and pay you with a solid amount of money, but if the money is enough to buy my equipment and to survive with the basic things, I’m happy about it! Nowadays I’m studying Public Administration, I’m in the first year and I can say that I’m enjoying it but I don’t know if in the future I’m going to work on this. I’m thinking about taking a major about photojournalist and maybe have 2 degrees in total. Definitely you can dream and imagine how you would like develop in the future but also the present give you the tools to work with yourself and to really see what you would like to do because for example you can love taking photos now but maybe in one year or two you can consider it boring.
